Why are so many public positions still unelected? In towns and cities there are many levels of government where the ability of citizens to vote is very limited, creating a growing call for greater participation in the institutions that represent us and govern the places we live, from the neighbourhood level to metropolitan level. In this session, we'll analyse the challenges of improving democratic representation via direct local elections.
