Fearless Cities is an informal global movement of activists, organizations, councilors, and mayors working to radicalize democracy, feminize politics, and drive the transition to an economy that cares about people and our environment.
The first Fearless Cities event was organized by Barcelona En Común in 2017 and had the participation of more than 700 people representing more than 100 municipal organizations from all continents. The book documenting the first Fearless Cities Summit has been translated into five languages.
Since then, several local municipalist platforms have organized regional Fearless Cities events in Brussels, Valparaíso, New York, Warsaw, Belgrade and Naples, in a decentralized manner.
In 2021, a new international event Fearless Cities is held, in a context of a global health, economic and ecological crisis that demands more courageous and innovative responses than ever.
