Fearless Cities is back!
Fearless Cities: The Global Municipalist Movement
From 5-10 July, Join us for political debate, policy exchange, and practical workshops featuring mayors, councilors and municipalist movements from around the world that are transforming society from the bottom up. This year’s summit, due to the COVID-19, is 100% online.
Barcelona En Comú is organizing a second global edition of Fearless Cities, with the ambition of tackling the most challenging and provocative questions facing cities, towns and rural areas today.
Fearless Cities is an informal global movement of activists, organizations, councilors and mayors that are working to radicalize democracy, feminize politics and drive the transition to an economy that cares for people and our environment.
The first Fearless Cities event in 2017 turned Barcelona into an international meeting point with more than 700 people representing over 100 municipalist organizations from every continent. The book documenting the first Fearless city Summit has been translated into five languages.
Since then, decentralized, regional Fearless Cities events have been organized in Brussels, Valparaiso, New York City, Warsaw, Belgrade and Naples by local municipalist platforms.
